Integrity Magazine – Cardinal Vesco’s anti-conversion remarks are the fruits of John Paul II and Benedict’s false ecumenism

The current furor being expressed by conservatives and Traditionalists over Cardinal Jean-Paul Vesco’s remarks are stunning. To act as if His Eminence — a title he is no doubt unworthy of holding — has said something outrageous or that it is at odds with the practices of the popes of the Vatican II Church with his recent claim that the Church is “not there to convert” is insulting. Vesco is in the news because of comments he made during an interview in October. “We are the Church of this people,” he said. “Not a proselytizing Church, not a Church that is there to convert, but a Church that aspires to be one of the components of this people.”
