Never one to shy away from speaking the truth and calling a spade a spade, Archbishop Carlo Viganò has once again not disappointed in a social media post. In reference to the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary today, and in honor of the historical event that led to its institution — the Battle of Lepanto — His Excellency issued a stark appeal to Catholics while rebuking politicians and members of the “self-proclaimed Catholic hierarchy” for turning their backs on Christendom. “Today the rulers of Europe, forgetful of the identity of their peoples forged by Roman Catholicism, deliver their own countries defenseless to a new invasion,” the former Apostolic Nuncio said. “And the self-proclaimed Catholic hierarchy, which should rally the faithful, encourages ethnic replacement, blesses those who promote it, and calls ‘dialogue’ its own vile and abject desertion.”
