American culture has long followed a destructive pattern during the week. Weekdays are “the grind,” ending with staying up on Fridays just because, and viewing Saturday morning as totally expendable. The results: lurking regret all day, a rough Sunday morning at church (or skipping it!), a sense of dissatisfaction with the weekend as a whole… and repeat.The habits of college and beyond slam into babies’ refusal to observe any sort of “sleeping in” expectation; little kids wake up early no matter what.
