I really despise writing about the sin of self-abuse (the sin that Pope Pius XII called “the private sin”) but countless teens and young men have been misled by hundreds of modernist priests, insisting it’s a venial sin, provided it’s an addiction. Yes, you read that correctly. It’s truly insane.But since this is such an insane and disgusting topic, I’m turning the comments off this one below.Since publishing my original of this article in 2023, I would have thought that many priests would have stopped misleading people against traditional moral theology of the Catholic Church. But, no. Rather, a Vietnamese priest of the Diocese of Orange, CA (outside Los Angeles) then told 400,000 of his unsuspecting listeners in 2025 in this video that masturbation “may not meet the criteria of mortal sin” if you have “acquired habit” or you live with “anxiety.” Watch his video if you don’t believe me.
