Radical Fidelity – What the Heart is Full Of: Analysis of Word Frequency in New Synodal Document Reveals the Truth

On Monday, July 27, the General Secretariat of the Synod published Remembering: Accompanying the Preparation of the Evaluation Assembly of the Local Church, a document that is supposed to guide bishops and synodal teams as they prepare for the 2027 “diocesan evaluation assemblies”.The authors of the document made it clear that they did not require an administrative review but wanted local Churches to “discern” whether the synodal journey has genuinely transformed its life and mission. In other words, they want to know how their little satanic demolition project is coming along.The document is therefore built around six key questions that examine the “fruits” of synodality and the ways in which the Church is being renewed.
