{NB: I’m helping my daughter Deirdre who just had her eighth! So I’m sharing an older post today. By the way, the room I took that photo in used to be hers. See that floor? When we moved in, it had lavender wall-to-wall carpeting and when she, then 12 years old, realized we had too many projects in such a big house to do anything about it, decided to take matters into her own hands. She ripped up the carpet herself, somehow got the floor somewhat sanded (she might have asked her dad to help, but whatever it was, it wasn’t very thorough), and then painted it white. Is it perfect? You can see it’s not! But it’s fine. Your kids can do things too! On to aprons —}
