Brief Introduction to the 1945 Address and its Authority

As promised, on the heels of our official defense published last week at the Journal, which included clarifications and retractions, we now present the full 1945 address of Pope Pius XII in which he explicitly condemned the ideology of National Socialism.1This address, Nell’accorgliere, was issued on June 2 to the College of Cardinals, less than one month after Germany’s unconditional surrender on May 8, 1945.
