Editor’s note: This is a lightly edited transcript of a sermon given on the Sixth Sunday after Pentecost, July 5, 2026. In today’s readings, we see that the multitude was following Our Lord in the wilderness for three days. There is a reason they went out into the wilderness. They were not being fed where they were at before. They had nothing to eat.
