When Archduke Eduard von Habsburg recently described the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM) as “the absolute antithesis of today’s world,” he touched upon more than a “preference” in liturgical style.He touched on the very essence of Catholicism, or then, what is confusingly known as “Traditional” Catholicism. As I have often repeated here, there is not more than one type of Catholicism. Therefore, any adjectives are creating a false idea. What is called progressive or liberal or Novus Ordo Catholicism is not Catholicism at all.The Archduke identified a conflict of principles. A whole system of belief that is not one system of belief among many, but the only true system and therefor a sign of contradiction against all other false belief systems and religions.
