Within the span of only a few days, two major interreligious initiatives were promoted by the Vatican under Leo XIV and the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue. One involved a formal colloquium between Christians and Muslims at the Apostolic Palace. The other was an official Vatican message addressed to Buddhist communities worldwide for the feast of Vesak.
