My journey to appreciating wool (Part 1 here) involved overcoming the “constant laundering” mindset required for synthetics (and also cotton, to be fair). I was under the impression that everything had to be washed constantly to avoid having grubby, smelly clothing, and I didn’t want that kind of pressure in my life! >I was caught up in the anti-housewife mentality where everything is reduced to avoiding a chore — with unintended consequences for the collective memory.
