*Wis 1:7* The Spirit of the Lord fills the world, alleluia, is all-embracing, and knows man’s utterance, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia. *Ps 67:2* God arises; His enemies are scattered, and those who hate Him flee before Him. Glory Be to the Father… The Spirit of the Lord fills the world, alleluia, is all-embracing, and knows man’s utterance, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
O God, You Who on this day have taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant us by that Holy Spirit Himself, to know what is right and ever to rejoice in His help. Through our Lord… eiusdem
Lesson from the Acts of Apostles *Acts 8:5-8* In those days, Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached the Christ to them. And the crowds with one accord gave heed to what was said by Philip, listening to him and seeing the miracles that he worked. For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, went out of many possessed persons, and many paralytics and cripples were cured. So there was great joy in that city.
Alleluia, alleluia. *Ps 103:30* ℣. Send forth Your Spirit, and they shall be created: and You shall renew the face of the earth. Alleluia. (Kneel.) ℣. Come, O Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful: and kindle in them the fire of Your love.
Continuation ☩ of the Holy Gospel according to Luke *Luke 9:1-6* At that time, having summoned the twelve apostles, Jesus gave them power and authority over all the devils, and to cure diseases. And He sent them forth to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. And he said to them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staff, nor wallet, nor bread, nor money; neither have two tunics. And whatever house you enter, stay there, and do not depart from thence. And whosoever will not receive you - go forth from that town, and shake off even the dust from your feet for a witness against them. And going forth, they went about from village to village, preaching the gospel and working cures everywhere.
*Ps 67:29-30* Confirm, O God, what You have wrought in us; from Your temple, which is in Jerusalem, kings shall offer gifts to You. Alleluia.
Sanctify these offerings, we beseech You, O Lord, and cleanse our hearts by the light of the Holy Spirit. Through our Lord… eiusdem
*Holy Spirit* It is truly meet and just, right and for our salvation, that we should at all times, and in all places, give thanks unto Thee, O holy Lord, Father almighty, everlasting God: through Christ our Lord. Who ascending above all in the heavens and sitting at Thy Right Hand, poured out the Holy Spirit upon the children of adoption. Wherefore the whole world doth rejoice with overflowing joy; and the heavenly Hosts also and the angelic Powers sing together the hymn of Thy glory, evermore saying:
*Acts 2:2; 2:4* Suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a violent wind blowing, where they were sitting, alleluia: and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, speaking of the wonderful works of God, alleluia, alleluia.
