Kokx News – Bishop Williamson Was Right All Along On SSPX-Rome ‘Dialogue’

Editor’s note: In 2012, Bishop Richard Williamson, Bishop Bernard Tissier de Mallerais, and Bishop Alfonso de Galarreta sent a joint letter to then-SSPX Superior General Bishop Bernard Fellay informing him of their opposition to a “practical agreement” with the Vatican. Now that the Society has announced plans to consecrate bishops on July 1 with or without Leo’s approval, this letter — largely unknown to Traditional Catholics today — takes on new significance. Among other things, the statement shows how correct the three bishops were in warning the Society’s superiors of pursuing a deal with “unconverted Rome.” To learn more about the letter, click here to visit the CathInfo forum. You can also read Fr. Anthony Cekada’s analysis here. SSPX leaders eventually issued a response defending their accordist policy, which sadly resulted in many changes and many clergy being removed or forced to leave the Society’s ranks. The letter was published on the semi-Trad Rorate Caeli website in April of that year.>
