Those who know me personally know that one of my favorite phrases is “it’s a slippery slope,” or some variation of it.I especially employ this personal favorite when I want to warn about a potentially dangerous compromise a person, institution, the Church, or society wants to make, or an evil they want to tolerate.This is, of course, not just some personal eccentric concern I have. We see the danger of compromise or tolerating evil also in Holy Scripture.
