The School for Housewives – Fewer decisions to make

The reason I say to start cleaning a room clockwise from where you enter it — and also say you can certainly clean it counter-clockwise if you like, just choose — is this: it’s exhausting to have to make decisions about everything, every time!Just make a rule for yourself: “When I clean a room, I will go clockwise from the point of entry, ending in the middle.”I can think while I clean, or talk to a child (who is also helping me of course) or even be on the phone with a friend (unless I’m actually vacuuming), because I’m not standing there wondering where to start or what to do next.
