Integrity Magazine – Trad Inc. melts down over Bishop Michael Mary Sim’s consecration for the Transalpine Redemptorists

The Diocese of Aberdeen moved swiftly in the aftermath of the episcopal consecration of Bishop Michael Mary Sim, F.SS.R., on Papa Stronsay to ensure the conciliar-synodal Church is kept free from Catholicism. In a statement released within hours of the consecration on July 25, the Bishop of Aberdeen declared that the act had placed Sim and the Transalpine Redemptorists outside communion with the Catholic Church.

Bishop Hugh Gilbert OSB had warned in advance that an episcopal consecration without a papal mandate would be “unlawful,” “a grave act of disobedience,” and an “act of schism.” When the ceremony nevertheless went ahead as planned, the diocese announced that its canonical process had reached judgment.
