Today, the Solemnity of the Feast of St. Joseph, is proof that the Church is a kind mother. Ours is not an unrelieved burden of fasting and penance — even in the midst of this time of Lent, we are given a sweet reprieve in order to recall to mind the Protector of our dear Savior and his Holy Mother. I recommend treats all around today! >How joyful and cheerful we should be, always! God is not asking too much of us. Not to say there aren’t reasons to grieve. Sadly, there often are; certainly, even memories can be the cause of suffering for those otherwise not experiencing any crisis. Suffering is real.
