Radical Fidelity – Why the German Synodal Conference’s Latest Anti-Catholic Decision Should Not Be Dismissed as Isolated Extremism

“Cardinal” Reinhard Marx.

An article which appeared on Infovaticana earlier this week, reports that the German Synodal Conference has approved the creation of a new lunatic mechanism intended to monitor how bishops implement resolutions arising from the German Synodal Path.>According to the report, dioceses would be required to document which synodal decisions have or have not been implemented, and bishops would need to explain themselves before the Synodal Conference.>The vote approving this mechanism was controversial: only 21 bishops voted in favor out of 47 present, and the procedure reportedly counted abstentions as not affecting the two-thirds threshold, raising concerns about the legitimacy of the result. Even Cardinal Reinhard Marx is said to have objected strongly, rejecting the idea of an oversight structure that could function as a “higher authority” over diocesan bishops.
