In 1932, Pope Pius XI promulgated an encyclical titled Caritate Christi Compulsi, on the Sacred Heart. >But this was not a merely devotional encyclical. In it, the Pope denounced the evils of both Capitalism and Communism – and ways in which civil authorities attempt to uncrown and dethrone Christ the King.
