Catholic Top Gun – We’re Living Too Easy

The First Day>
This past week, I spent 8 days and 7 nights on a hunting/camping trip with my son. The first night, temperatures got down to 26 degrees. It was one of the most miserable nights of my life. It warmed up for most of the rest of the week until it rained the last 3 days and the last night the temperature got down to 29 degrees. >
When you’re out in the wilderness like this, you think about being warm, dry, and fed. Every night, I watched the stars, moon, and the moving clouds. I didn’t sleep much because it was just too cold. The hunting took place in the mornings and the rest of the day, we hiked, practiced archery, gathered firewood, and just sat by the fire.
