Catholic Top Gun – Rev. Michael Müller, C.SS.R. On Protestantism

I often hear “Catholics” talk about Protestants as if they were actual Christians. Nothing could be further from the truth. >
One of my all time favorite writers is Fr. Michael Müller C.SS.R . (1825 – 1899). He was a prolific writer of 19th century America. Everything he wrote is fantastic and well worth reading.  In 1876, he published “Familiar Explanation of Christian Doctrine.” He always submitted his works to two Redemptorist theologians (as his rule required) and it was used as a catechism for Catholics in America. What Fr. Müller relays below is the constant teaching of the Catholic Church against Protestantism. Keep in mind how the Second Vatican Council and the Vatican 2 popes utterly reject it. >
Q. Do you mean to say that the Protestant doctrine was not known before it was preached by Luther, Calvin, Henry VIII., and John Knox?
